Every $3 you give helps someone eat for a week.

Every month, Atheists United brings together a team of 10-30 volunteers to distribute about 5,000 meals' worth of nutritious food (provided by LA Food Bank) for free in L.A.'s Historic Filipinotown.

The program feeds an average 377 people a month—vulnerable neighbors who rely increasingly on food giveaways like ours for survival.

We budget about $4,700 annually to keep the program running (plus staff time). That's about a week's worth of free meals per person per month—20,000 times annually that a person doesn't have to worry about food for a day.

That's a long way of saying your donation goes far!

Your support covers essential items for the distribution, like...

U-Haul rental and gas (to transport the food)
Shade tents (which periodically need to be replaced)
Volunteer food and water
Signage
Staff time organizing the event

Our goal is to raise our budget for next year. You can help out by donating or bidding on a silent auction item now!
