For more than 40 years, HorsePower has been transforming lives through the healing connection between horses and people with physical, cognitive or mental health challenges. Every week, children and adults enter the arena to experience the life-changing impact of horses and we are honored to be a part of that impact! As a proud Sioux Empire United Way partner agency, HorsePower is honored to meet their high standards of accountability and service as we work together to create meaningful change in our communities.

This year marks an exciting season of growth and innovation at HorsePower. In addition to our regular programming of therapeutic riding, groundwork and group sessions, we have re-launched our Hippotherapy services, allowing licensed therapists to incorporate the movement of the horse into physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions. This program allows us to reach more people, address unmet needs in our community, and provide innovative pathways to improved health and well-being.

One of the areas of greatest growth and need is our Veterans Program, Hope Reins. Every day, veterans and active-duty military members face challenges. Through the unique partnership between horse and human, participants find connection, trust, purpose, and healing in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. As demand for these services continues to increase, your support helps ensure that those who have served our country have no-cost access to meaningful opportunities for recovery, resilience, and community.

None of this work would be possible without our incredible herd of therapy horses. These remarkable animals are the heart of everything we do, serving hundreds of participants each year in a way that only horses can. Your generosity helps provide quality feed, veterinary care, farrier services, and equipment so our horses can continue changing lives for years to come.

When you support HorsePower, you are investing in more than a program, you are investing in the people in our community. Your support helps the child with Autism who has struggled with traditional therapy, through a scholarship-funded session on Captain, discovered emotional regulation, patience, and strength. It supports the veteran who felt that talk therapy wasn't enough until they met Arnold, our therapy horse, and found a sense of calm understanding. It reaches the neighbor who struggled with balance and isolation but found strength, confidence, and friendship at the barn.

Together, we can ensure that financial barriers never prevent someone from accessing life-changing equine-assisted services and that our horses, participants, veterans, service members, and families continue to thrive.
