I joined the Brooklyn Poets community when I went to my first Yawp back in 2018. Since then, I have taken a number of workshops, attended countless events, and made lifelong friends. I’m grateful to have experienced being an Intern and a Programming Associate at Brooklyn Poets, and to have the opportunity to teach poetry to both children and adults through this organization. As Brooklyn Poets continues to grow, I hope to not only continue to benefit from its robust and accessible programming, but also give back to the community through teaching and creating more free/low-cost programs for young poets.
