Bidding is open to U.S. residents 18 and older. All bids are binding.

Tax Deductibility

BSF is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to BSF are generally tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Because this auction involves the receipt of goods in exchange for payment, the deductible portion of your bid is limited. Under IRS guidelines, a charitable contribution deduction is only available for the amount paid in excess of the fair market value of the item received.

The fair market value of the C60 Trident Pro 300 x DUSTOFF is $1,370.00.

If your winning bid exceeds $1,370.00, only the amount above $1,370.00 may qualify as a tax-deductible charitable contribution. If your winning bid is equal to or less than $1,370.00, no portion of your payment qualifies as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.

BSF will provide a written acknowledgment via email to the winning bidder reflecting the total amount paid and the fair market value of the item received, as required under IRC Section 170(f)(8).
