Love Where You Live. Protect What Matters. Raise a Ruckus.

Join Center for Coalfield Justice's staff, members & supporters, friends & neighbors for a fall evening enjoying live music, good food, and chances to take home prizes from awesome raffles and a silent auction, all while supporting CCJ's work across Washington and Greene Counties.

As our country marks its 250th anniversary this year, we're celebrating close to home. To us, loving where you live means showing up for your neighbors, protecting the land and resources we share, and making sure our communities have a voice in the decisions that shape our future.

And sometimes, that means making a little noise.

🎻 Live Music

We're excited to welcome new local talent to provide a lively musical backdrop for this year's celebration.

Fiddlin' Ray Bruckman and Mitch Hall will be playing a combination of bluegrass, folk, old-time, and western swing music from right here in Southwestern Pennsylvania for you all to enjoy!

CCJ is an environmental 501(c)3 non-profit serving residents of Greene and Washington counties in southwestern Pennsylvania with issues around coal extraction, fracking and other petrochemical extraction, economic justice issues, and democracy work.

Our approach for working with area residents values their knowledge about the land, waterways, and communities. Our recognition of local expertise is grounded in the belief that people who live with the daily impacts of fossil fuel extraction should be treated with the utmost respect. Our work is informed and directed by how local people think these industries should be held accountable for impacts.

We blend organizing, communications, legal, and policy strategies to build power with and for residents across Washington and Greene Counties, and to create an expanded set of options for achieving justice. Through this approach, and by investing in people’s skills and leadership, our communities will be able to advocate effectively for a healthy environment and thriving economy.
