Charlotte Lit is moving to a permanent home! We're creating a beautiful, secure, permanent space for learning, conversation, and community in the Ascend Nonprofit Center at 601 E. 5th Street in Charlotte. Here's where your contributions will go:

Infrastructure: remove and refinish walls; build bookshelves; add ,paint, carpet, and lighting
Seating: comfortable chairs and modular tables for the classroom, plus cafe seating and office fixtures
Event Seating: stackable (yet still comfortable) chairs
Dannye Romine Powell Poetry Place: reading lights and chairs; movable bookshelves
Audio/Visual: large display screen; microphones, stands, speakers; recording equipment
Lending Library: Poetry, writing craft, and much more
