The mission of Colfax-Mingo Scholarships is to inspire, encourage, and invest in Colfax-Mingo area students to achieve success in postsecondary education.

Colfax-Mingo Scholarships is a non-profit organization under the laws of the state of Iowa and is a tax exempt charitable organization under IRS ruling 501(c)(3) and is a publicly supported charity under IRS ruling 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). During the course of the year, we organize and hold events including soup-to-go at home football games, buck-a-bucket at home basketball games, an annual golf tournament, the annual Trivia Night, and the annual Mailathon, where all net proceeds for all events go toward scholarships for graduating Colfax-Mingo students.

In 2026, 21 seniors each received a $600 scholarship for participating in the annual phonathon. Also, through the efforts of the alumni and others honoring special people in their lives, there are special named scholarships that were awarded. All of these efforts amount to $31,600 going to the senior class of 2026 through the Colfax-Mingo Scholarships funds. We were also able to award another 5-$1400 scholarships to Colfax, Mingo, or Colfax-Mingo Alumni, totaling another $7000 awarded in 2026.

We are proud of the accomplishments of the students at Colfax-Mingo Schools and we are proud to be able to help them achieve success after graduation. We know that we would not be able to do that without the generous contributions from supporters like you.

The Silent Auction will end at 2pm during the 14th Annual Kerri Brenner Memorial Golf Tournament. If you have won the silent auction item, you will be contacted to make payment.
