The CougsFirst! QB Classic is more than a golf tournament. It’s a homecoming.

Founded by Jack Thompson the “Throwin’ Samoan” and a defining figure in Cougar football history. This event honors the quarterback legacy at Washington State University while investing in the future of Cougar Athletics.

Each year, alumni, business leaders, former players, and supporters gather not just to compete, but to reconnect. To tell stories. To remember what it meant to wear the crimson and gray. And to invest in the next generation of Cougs.

The QB Classic supports athletics with a focused commitment to quarterback development, a nod to the position that helped shape so much of Cougar tradition.

But it’s also about the network. On the course, relationships form naturally. Business leaders host foursomes. Sponsors activate alongside alumni. Conversations that start between holes continue long after the final putt.
