I joined the DCSL Board in November 2021 in honor of my mother, Eleanor Spreitzer, who fought her battle with Alzheimer's and Dementia for over 10 years. My mom lived independently and as this debilitating disease took over, she became more reclusive and disconnected from her community of family and friends. I can only imagine if my mom would have had a loving, caring community of older adults like DCSL, that what a difference it would have made in the quality of her life. I am proud of the excellent programming and services that Seanyea Lewis and her team continue to provide our older adults in Durham County at no cost - especially the sense of belonging all Center participants experience. This is why I serve on the DCSL Board and am asking like-minded friends, family and colleagues to support DCSL with a loving financial donation.
