We’re excited to kick off this year’s Doubly Devoted campaign, where every dollar you give goes twice as far.
Through the first week of January, select donors will generously match a portion of gifts made to the Tennessee Valley Coalition for the Homeless.

Why It Matters

Homelessness in rural East Tennessee looks different. Our 12-county region covers more than 6,000 square miles, which is larger than the state of Connecticut. Limited transportation, few affordable housing options, and scarce local resources make homelessness harder to see and even harder to escape.

Your support fuels real, measurable change. Each contribution helps our outreach and housing programs meet people where they are, providing safety, stability, and dignity when it’s needed most.

What Your Gift Supports

Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH):
Provides long-term housing and case management for individuals and families who have experienced chronic homelessness, helping them stabilize and rebuild their lives.

Street and Community Outreach:
Our outreach team travels across all 12 counties, building relationships, distributing food, hygiene items, and clothing, and connecting people to housing and health resources.

Regional Homeless Helpline:
Our helpline covers all 12 counties in the region and is staffed by dedicated team members who personally respond to each request for help. Every call is met with care and tailored to the individual’s situation, whether they need emergency shelter, basic supplies, or referrals to housing programs and supportive services.

Mobile Shower Trailer Program:
Now a fully established part of our outreach efforts, our shower trailer provides dozens of showers each week and has already served hundreds of individuals this year. We have reached 7 of our 12 counties and plan to expand into two more at the start of next year. This program restores dignity, promotes health, and offers connection to those who need it most.

Continuum of Care (CoC) Leadership:
TVCH serves as the lead agency for the regional Continuum of Care, or CoC. The CoC is a collaborative network of agencies, nonprofits, and community partners working together to end homelessness across our region. As the lead, TVCH coordinates data collection, manages federal funding, and ensures that communities are using effective, evidence-based approaches to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring. This leadership role allows us to align resources, strengthen local partnerships, and improve outcomes for individuals and families across all 12 counties.

Organizational Growth and Flex Funding:
Your gift also helps us grow our team and strengthen our foundation as an organization. Donations support staff development, vehicles, and the tools needed to expand our reach across the region. Contributions also help us build flexible funding to assist people whose needs fall outside of traditional program coverage. With your support, we are working toward one day securing a building of our own to better serve East Tennessee.
