For nearly a century, the idea of swimming in the Chicago River seemed impossible. Today, it represents something powerful: progress.

The Chicago River Swim was created to celebrate that progress while supporting two vital causes – ALS research and youth swim education and water safety. Through this event, we aim to bring our community together around the water that runs through the heart of our city and transform it into a symbol of possibility.

This year marks a major milestone. In partnership with the City of Chicago and Brandon Johnson, we are proudly announcing the next Chicago River Swim and celebrating the continued momentum to reconnect Chicagoans with their river.
