Aplomb stands for self-confidence, self-assurance and poise; especially under the most trying circumstances.

Through collaborative artistic expression, The Aplomb Project pays tribute to those who have experienced life-altering trauma. Contemporary portrait artist, Danielle Festa, captures the resilience of trauma survivors, gifting the resulting oil portrait to the voluntary participants to celebrate their courage and strength.

Since The Aplomb Project formed as a 501c(3) in 2023 and we have already:

Gifted triumphant oil portraits to 24 trauma survivors, in process with 20 more going into 2028!
Hosted more than 100 events, exhibitions, and healing workshops (over 50 in the last 6 months!)
Formed a supportive and growing community platform of 75 survivors and allies
Delivered 135 art kits to trauma groups or directly to individual survivors
Published two books of inspirational trauma survivor paintings, stories, and poems
Awarded five art scholarships to survivors who can benefit from the healing powers of artistic expression without a financial barrier
Expanded our space to a downtown location, greeting thousands of visitors, and provided space for members to gather
