On Friday, September 8, a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck the High Atlas region where Regenerative Travel's partner Kasbah du Toubkal's long standing charity partner Education For All's boarding houses are situated, resulting in significant damage to all of the organization's houses. Efforts are currently underway to obtain updates from the girls who had returned to their villages. In addition to the immediate need for house repairs, Education For All envisions providing both emergency and long-term support for the affected girls and their families.

The earthquake has left the High Atlas region of Morocco in distress. Education For All operates boarding houses in this area, serving as a vital resource for teenage girls residing in remote regions to access local schools and receive necessary support. Regrettably, all of Education For All's boarding houses have sustained severe damage due to the earthquake, necessitating immediate repair work and the replacement of damaged furniture and computers.

The proposed solution involves raising funds to address the pressing needs of emergency repairs for the damaged houses and the replacement of their contents. Additionally, the project aims to provide essential emergency support, encompassing food, medicine, water, and communication assistance, to benefit the affected girls, their families, and the local communities. All donations received will be allocated to both short-term and long-term initiatives, focused on the reconstruction of the houses and the communities where the girls originate.

In terms of long-term impact, Education For All aims to restore the boarding houses, thereby enabling the continued fulfillment of its mission to facilitate access to education for teenage girls.
