Marshall is a Title 1 K-5 public school in San Francisco serving primarily Hispanic students, many of whom are newcomers to the US from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

As a Title I school, the majority of our students are socioeconomically disadvantaged. The donated goods and services that we auction off will fund enrichments like Art, Motor Perception, Chess Club, STEM gardening, Capoeira, Mindfulness, Yoga, which provide a well-rounded education, complement academic learning, and bring joy into student’s lives.

How does the PTA use this money?

Your generous contributions support a variety of resources that are not covered by state or federal funding including:

Mission Science Workshop field trips
Marshall Garden Program ($17,500)
Superstar health puberty class ($7000)
Street Soccer USA ($5000)
Family & Community Engagement Programs
RazKids (Leveled Reading Resources)
Social-Recreational Support (Playworks)
Classroom Grants ($500 per teacher to spend on highest needs for their classroom)
School Facilities Support (HVAC air filters, wellness center, bilingual books)

In the past, families have donated anywhere from $10 to $5,000. Contributions of ANY size are welcomed and make a difference in providing our students the education and opportunities they deserve!
