Every Springer deserves a second chance — and that’s exactly what English Springer Rescue America (ESRA) provides. Across the country, ESRA steps in to rescue Springers in need, whether they’ve been abandoned, neglected, or simply fallen on hard times. Through dedicated foster homes and compassionate care, each dog receives the love, medical attention, and patience they need to heal and rediscover trust. From scared and uncertain to happy and wagging, every transformation reminds us why we do what we do.

At ESRA, we believe that rehabilitation is just the beginning. Our goal is to carefully match every Springer with a forever family where they can thrive — and where their new beginning truly takes root. Dogs like Holly, Murphy, and Finn are living proof of the power of second chances. Your generosity ensures that Springers like Holly, who came to us with massive mammary tumors, multiple infections, and untreated medical issues, receive the lifesaving care they desperately need. Holly was also suffering from a severe flea infestation and hookworm, and years of neglect had left her mouth and teeth in horrifying condition. The pain and suffering she endured for so long were heartbreaking.

Then, there's Murphy who was in critical condition when he came into ESRA's care. Emaciated and dangerously weak, his body showed the devastating effects of prolonged neglect and extreme confinement. Years of being crated for extended periods had caused significant muscle atrophy, and our veterinarian warned that without immediate intervention, Murphy may not have survived much longer.

When Finn was surrendered, he was just a puppy diagnosed with diabetes—a condition rarely seen in dogs so young. Through no fault of his own, his future suddenly became uncertain. His life now revolves around insulin injections, blood glucose testing, strict feeding schedules, and monitoring.

But none of this is possible without you. ESRA is a 100% volunteer-driven organization, meaning every penny raised goes directly to helping the Springers we all love.
