The Gala is our biggest fundraising event of the year, which means we need every member of our community in the room!

EVkids fosters a deeply rooted community of support through ongoing mentoring relationships, professional family engagement, school advocacy, college & career guidance counseling, and an enriching summer camp program. Each school year, EVkids continues to provide essential support to up to 150 1-on-1 Tutoring pairs across four after-school sites in Dorchester and Roxbury, 30 College Success mentoring pairs for first-generation college students, and dozens of campers at our 9-acre Summer Camp in Vermont.

Attending the Expanding Horizons Gala, bidding in the Gala auction, and donating to EVkids ensures that students and families can continue receiving consistent academic support and mentoring throughout the school year.

Every year at the Expanding Horizons Gala, we hold an exciting auction in person and online, raising crucial funds for EVkids by auctioning off a variety of fun prizes. Gift certificates for stores and attractions, vacations, sports tickets, and food and beer/wine gift baskets are always a big hit, and we encourage you to get creative!
