This gala is our opportunity to step up, say thank you, and shine a spotlight on the exceptional nurses who go above and beyond the call of duty.

But this inspiring night is about more than just celebration—it is about making a lasting impact. All proceeds from the gala directly benefit The Arc of Nevada's vital community programs. Your support helps fund initiatives that empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to achieve greater self-sufficiency, access meaningful opportunities, and live independent, fully inclusive lives within our communities.

Candidate Information

Category Nominees - To become an official candidate, we need you to complete the candidate packet. You can access it online HERE or email mgorelow@arcnv.org to receive the word document. You can submit a CV/Resume in lieu of the form, but you do need to answer the two questions. You can also submit up to 3 letters of recommendation on plain white paper (no letterhead - we cut it off to maintain anonymity when judging).

Nurse's Choice Nominations

Now it's time to nominate someone who is not a nurse but supports nursing. These nominations should bbe done by a nurse. You don't have to be a nurse nominee to nominate someone for the Nurse's Choice Award. There are three different Nurse's Choice categories: Administration, CNA, and Support Staff. Logistics & Event Location

The event will be held in The Longhorn Room located inside Binion's Gambling Hall .

Finding the Room: Don't worry about getting lost in the casino action; there will be clear, visible signs throughout the venue directing all attendees straight to the room.
Attire: The dress code for the evening is cocktail attire.

Parking & Validation

Parking is completely covered for our guests!

Where to Park: Convenient parking can be found next door to the casino.
Validation: Your parking is included in the event. Please ensure you bring your parking ticket inside with you, as parking will be validated at the event.

Overnight Accommodations

If you would like to turn the celebration into a staycation or avoid a late drive home, overnight rooms are available right on-site at the historic boutique Hotel Apache at Binion's.

Meet our Emcees

Ozzy Mora

Ozzy joined 8 News Now in June 2023 as their noon anchor and reporter. She comes from Midland, TX where she was an evening anchor and anchored Spanish digital cut-ins for Estrella TV.

She is an Emmy-nominated anchor, and has a passion for telling stories specifically of people making a difference, organizations coming together to help others, and assisting in providing resources for people in need. Through her stories, she has helped children become entrepreneurs through lemonade stands to helping organizations raise enough funds to build shower trailers for the homeless.

She has been recognized by nonprofits and organizations for her strides in helping the community.

She loves coffee and loves to laugh. It’s the best medicine ever. You will always catch her smiling.

Carla Rea

Carla is the host of The KKLZ Morning Show on 96.3 KKLZ for over 15 years and has been entertaining for decades on comedy stages, late night, TV, and radio.

She is a member of the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame, and a Gracie Award winner. She worked as a light-feature reporter for KSNV, the NBC affiliate in Las Vegas, as a part of “Wake up with the Wagner’s”, going behind the scenes of Las Vegas shows, restaurants, and more.

Carla is a seasoned comedian who has appeared on Conan O'Brien, Craig Ferguson, a Showtime special, and in comedy clubs across the country, and across the globe.

She brings her signature wit, humor and sarcasm to 96.3 KKLZ every Monday-Friday, 6am to 10am.
