Named for the West African Dogon tribe and inspired by DC surveyor Benjamin Banneker, Dōgon serves vibrant cuisine through an Afro-Caribbean lens, drawing from Chef Onwuachi's Nigerian, Jamaican, Trinidadian, and Creole roots. The dining room is nothing short of breathtaking — bathed in a cool moonlit glow beneath recessed ceiling domes, with rich blues, soft lilac, and silver hues, marble-topped tables, and dark corduroy banquettes that make the space feel like dining among the stars. The menu is designed to share — think charbroiled oysters, Mom Dukes shrimp, crispy lamb with tamarind glaze, curry branzino, and berbere-laced chicken and rice — every dish a bold, soulful celebration of the African diaspora and a love letter to this city.
