In 2013, we launched our very first camp with 30 girls, a handful of instruments, and a big dream: form bands, write original songs, and take the stage live at a real rock venue.

Thirteen years and over 1,000 musicians later, our community has grown bigger—and louder—than we ever imagined. From launching Ladies Rock Camp to embracing the trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive youth and adults who have always made our space home, our mission naturally expanded. Evolving our name to Let’s Get Loud MKE is the natural next step to reflect the vibrant, diverse community that has built this organization alongside us.

Join us at The Argo this fall to honor the legacy that brought us here! We’re looking back on 13 incredible years of history as Girls Rock MKE, raising a glass to everyone who took the stage, and celebrating the loud, inclusive future we’re building together. Featuring performances by local bands and DJs (TBA), a silent auction, delicious refreshments, and of course, great music.
