The Mariposa Collective is a 501c3 nonprofit performing artists collective dedicated to the service and support of contemporary artists and the creative process. Our mission is to support a diverse community by engaing in artistic dialogue, exploring and sharing multi-disciplinary work, and offering quality artistic contributions to the community at large.

Our silent auction, including offerings of classes, gifts, and services from our wonderful community, will open online on Sunday June 15, and will conclude at our event on June 22, with in person and online bidding on that day. Funds raised will go towards production costs and artist’s fees for our next show “Resonance” January 30-February 1 at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder. All of your donations are tax deductible. The Mariposa Collective was founded in Boulder, CO in 1994 by Diane Butler, Barbara Dilley, Carol McDowell, and Polly Motley as a collaborative space for its members, providing fuel for projects, and helping to inspire and develop work in the presence of others. Other past members include Lucien Wulsin, Cara Reeser, Katherine Kaufman, Christy Harris, Kim Olson, David Ortalano, Paul Temple, Mary Kite, Brigitta Hermann, and Ana Baer.

The Mariposa Collective is helping to promote the value of the arts in society by making the performing arts more accessible to both performers and audiences. We believe the arts are not just a luxury, to be enjoyed by an elite minority, but an essential part of human expression and culture, and should be accessible to all.
