Empowering Healing Through Art: Support Our Art Therapy Program

At Family Services of Warren County (FSWC), we believe in the power of art to heal. For three years, our Art Therapy Program has been providing school-based, outpatient, and community services to children and families across the region, offering a vital lifeline for mental health. Generosity from our community and grant partners has allowed this program to grow, but as we look toward the future, we need your support more than ever.

This year, our Art Therapy Program has reached an exciting milestone: we are onboarding a second Clinical Art Therapist. However, we are still the only agency within a 60-mile radius offering specialized Art Therapy services. This is critical because for many individuals—especially children and teens—creative expression is a powerful, nonverbal way to process complex emotions, experiences, and trauma. Art Therapy offers a unique and accessible alternative to traditional talk therapy, helping those who may struggle to communicate their feelings through words.

Our Art Therapy room, located in our newly renovated facility, is equipped with top-of-the-line studio features, ensuring an ethical, safe, and supportive environment for our clients. But it’s not just about the space—it’s about the people who walk through our doors. With Art Therapy, we see individuals finding new ways to heal, express themselves, and grow, and we know the demand for these services is only going to increase in the coming years.

This year’s Art Therapy Gala is crucial for sustaining the no-cost services that so many individuals rely on.
