About Hockey Mentors

Hockey Mentors for Special Players is a Michigan-based 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to making skating and hockey accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Through free and low-cost adaptive skating, hockey, and sled hockey programs, we provide children, teens, adults, and veterans the opportunity to experience the ice in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.

Our programs focus on inclusion, confidence building, physical activity, teamwork, and community connection. Many participants would otherwise never have the opportunity to skate or play hockey due to financial, physical, or accessibility barriers.
