The Pradiya Foundation is more than just a shelter. It's a sanctuary of hope, currently providing a safe home for children who would otherwise be vulnerable to the community's most devastating social challenges. But Oinak's vision extends far beyond shelter. He dreams of building a school that will educate and empower the next generation, breaking cycles of inequality one child at a time.

I first met Oinak Singh, the founder of The Pradiya Foundation, when he was a mischievous 12-year kid growing up at an orphanage in India. He was never one to follow the expected path, a spirited child, he channeled his restless energy into a mission that would change lives.

As an adult, he returned to his roots on a visit to a remote Nepali village. After witnessing the harsh realities that many children face: the brutal cycles of child marriage, gender and caste inequalities, and abuse that robs children of their innocence and potential, he made a radical decision—to stay and create change.
