Remnants of Colorado’s early fruit diversity remain in our rural and urban landscape. The trees are hidden or right in plain sight – sometimes forgotten, and other times revered by the families who always remembered. Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project (MORP) is dedicated to preserving this fruitful legacy.

The Colorado Orange apple is the most popular apple of Colorado origin. First renowned within our state and beyond beginning over 100 years ago, and despite having been lost for many generations, it is still sought after today. Its rediscovery both honors Colorado's fruit growing past and gives hope to its future.

1) The June 17th Summer Heritage Apple Tree Sale at the Orchard Hub in Dolores, CO

or

2) Schedule a time for pickup at the MORP nursery in McElmo Canyon, Colorado within two weeks of winning.

Directions will be sent at time of payment. If winning bidder does not pick up their tree(s) within the timeframe, no refunds, credit only as inventory is available.
