A community dream turned into a reality when Lawndale Community Church was able to buy a building on Ogden Avenue which would house the church offices, a small clinic, and a full-size basketball court for the community to enjoy.

When its doors opened in 1984, there were just four exam rooms, one physician, and a staff of five. Four decades later, we are proud to have over 100 medical providers across seven clinic locations, and a staff of over 700. Altogether providing healthcare to over 65,000 patients. There have been many significant partners in developing the Health Center seen today.

We believe we are meant to grow as a community and invite you to celebrate the past, and to be a part of the future. Funds raised from this event will go toward the construction of a new building on Ogden Ave which will serve as a Teaching Health Center. The Teaching Health Center will host a diverse cohort of Family Medicine Residents, partner with local educational institutions, and be home to a Medical Assistant training program.

LCHC's vision for this building is to not only increase our capacity to serve the community but to empower, employ, and educate residents, students, and trainees in the health care field. Proceeds from the Gala will be doubled through a matching gift from a private grant.
