Celebrate Litquake's 25th Anniversary Festival

For more than a quarter of a century Litquake has been at the core of San Francisco's literary life. At the heart of our mission is the belief that reading and writing and storytelling in all its forms are a fundamental part of being human. Stories are essential to how we understand ourselves, each other, and our community.

This is what drives us each year to produce the Litquake Festival, where tens of thousands of readers and over 500 writers of all ages and backgrounds come together each October for one of the nation’s largest such gatherings—and almost totally for free.
