For 30 years, Kinship House has provided therapy and advocacy for children experiencing foster care and adoption, helping children heal from trauma, connect with safe adults, and build stable futures.

Since 1996, our mission has been rooted in a simple belief: every child deserves the opportunity to experience safety, connection, joy, and belonging. From the beginning, Kinship House has created spaces that feel more like home than a doctor’s office, where children can work through difficult experiences while still having the freedom to simply be kids.

What began with five therapists and a state child welfare manager recognizing a critical need in our community has grown into a team serving hundreds of children and families each year. Through it all, our commitment has remained the same: to decrease the impact of trauma, strengthen the relationships between children and the safe adults in their lives, and help create pathways toward permanency and lifelong stability.

For three decades, our community has made this work possible. Together, we have helped bring health and joy back into the lives of thousands of children and families across Oregon.
