Mad Lit amplifies the voices, expressions and offerings of Madison’s existing local music, visual art and small business communities of color by existing as a free annual outdoor summer event series centered around equity, exposure and engagement. Initially created to help revitalize the 100 Block of State Street after the COVID-19 pandemic, Mad Lit aims to continue creating inclusive space for communities of color in Downtown Madison.

With your support, we can continue to provide Madison residents and tourists the opportunity to listen to music, purchase art, and shop from small business owners they are not likely to cross paths with in any other way. Additionally, State Street businesses will continue to benefit by experiencing increased traffic during events.

Mad Lit is an essential event series contributing to the continued growth of our music ecosystem; amplifying the direct, indirect and induced economic impact of our creative community.
