Sacramento, CA — A local mother of four is facing unimaginable hardship as she battles lupus, the aftermath of a leg amputation, and rising living costs all while trying to feed her children.

A resilient lupus warrior, this mother recently underwent amputation surgery and now uses a wheelchair. On top of the physical toll, she lives in a home without hot water and faces a staggering $1,500 PG&E bill that has left her unable to even afford basic groceries.

“We’re not asking for much — just enough for food,” she said. “My kids need to eat.”

Currently, she is seeking just $250 in immediate grocery assistance to get her family through the week. Her story represents many who are silently suffering due to chronic illness and financial hardship.
