Originally incorporated in 1940, New Hampshire Art Association (NHAA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit contemporary arts organization dedicated to exhibiting and supporting regional artists. In 1990, NHAA opened its doors in Portsmouth, New Hampshire at 136 State Street thanks to philanthropists, lenders, and leadership who recognized the need for a community space to support the visual arts. We operate thanks to the passion and generosity of artists, audiences, and donors.

We’re especially excited this year to present our Annual Auction alongside Fledgling: Artists Under 30, one of NHAA’s most inspiring and well-attended exhibitions. Bringing these two events together creates a meaningful dialogue between generations- celebrating where our artistic community is now and where it’s headed next.

Proceeds from this year’s auction will go directly toward supporting future Fledgling exhibitions and programming, ensuring young and emerging artists continue to have a space to grow, experiment, and be seen. We’re deeply grateful to the many long-standing NHAA members who have donated their work to the auction- a generous gesture that beautifully embodies the spirit of artists giving back and investing in the next generation.
