Message from Stu, the founder of the Center for Child-Safe Divorce

After my divorce, I was broke and broken.

Every other weekend, my son Jared (then age 5) and I would take what we called “train rides to nowhere” along the San Diego coast. With a couple of sandwiches and disposable cameras, we’d spend hours taking photos and just being together.

Those simple moments gave us something to look forward to, and sparked Jared’s passion for photography.

Years later, when he was 16, he captured an image at “The Wedge” in Newport Beach, CA that he transformed into a perfect heart. No other edits. Just mirroring. He gave it to me as a Father’s Day gift, and it still hangs over my desk today.

That image became a brand, a global community, and the inspiration behind the 528 Million Waves of Love Movement.

Proceeds from this auction will help us mail large glossy postcards with this iconic image to every family law court judge in the United States.

Today, Jared is an award-winning nature photographer whose work has been featured in galleries and private collections across the country.
