Painting the Future and University of Tulsa are coming together to showcase artwork of displaced Ukrainian children and Ukrainian artists from May 5 - June 4 to help more displaced Ukrainian children and to raise further awareness of the ongoing humanitarian crisis. We are auctioning all the artwork online in the "Auction" tab above until closing night on June 4. We will be hosting a pre-event cocktail party on May 4 at 5:00 PM at University of Tulsa's Oklahoma Center for the Humanities newly acquired space at 101 E. Archer St! Please RSVP to caroline@paintingthefuture.org if you would like to attend.
Painting the Future is a nonprofit that provides displaced children with art workshops as an opportunity for children to express themselves and find solace through their creativity as well as essential items to benefit displaced children, with a current focus on Ukrainian children. While conducting art workshops for displaced Ukrainian children in Ukraine, we collected some donated paintings from the children with the purpose of helping other displaced Ukrainian children with those paintings. In addition to these paintings, we collected artworks from Ukrainian artists to further provide a broad picture of Ukraine from different lens. Through these artworks, you will be able to see how Ukrainians are processing their emotions through their creations.
Time is almost up! Don’t forget to check you bids and make sure your favorite painting comes home with you this week. 🖼️🏆

New Auction Item: Wu Woman Original Piece
Wu Woman Original Piece Performed at NYC Fundraiser
The painting you may have seen curated at our art exhibition and fundraiser in New York and it is now available for bidding or purchasing.
This auction item provides an opportunity for art enthusiasts to own a piece of Wu Woman's art and support a charitable cause.
Professionally known as Wu Woman, Svitlana Zavialova is a Ukrainian born performance artist, actor and martial arts World Champion. She is well known for her unconventional approach to art through the martial arts and captivating performances. Wu Woman performs for audiences using martial movement, an art designed for combat, to express the multiplicity of human emotion.
The painting was originally created during our art exhibition in New York City, where Ukrainian artists' paintings were displayed to fundraise for medical equipment for a Ukrainian hospital. During the exhibition, Wu Woman gave a mesmerizing solo performance of a "prayer" martial arts. She teamed with long-time collaborator and Grammy Award winning violinist Ernesto Villalobos. Taking all the energy from the performance which highlighted recent happenings in Ukraine, Wu Woman transformed that energy into this piece of art. This piece will be auctioned to benefit displaced Ukrainian children.
Hey there! Just wanted to let you know that we just dropped the start bid price on all of the children's artwork. Some are now priced as low as $50! Reminder the auction closes June 4 so you still have time to bid. Click this link to bid now!
