Help Us Build a Home for North Boulder's Artists

Help us turn an empty warehouse into affordable studios and a year-round Artist Residency Program.

Who We Are

The NoBo Art District is a nonprofit community of working artists, studios, galleries, and neighbors in North Boulder. Through First Fridays, public art, and exhibitions, we’re working to help artists from our community launch careers that last.

What We're Raising Money For

Art thrives when artists have space to make it. As Boulder gets less affordable, artists are being priced out of the places they work. So we're building something North Boulder has never had.

Our new space at 4939 Broadway #61 will house 7 dedicated studio pods and the NoBo Artist In Residency Program, giving 6-12 artists a year subsidized rent, shared tools, a community of peers, and a direct line to the public through First Fridays. Additionally, we’re providing a 6-month sponsored studio space to 2 selected NoBo artists each year.

Our Program Goals

Keep artists rooted here. Affordable studios mean North Boulder stays a real, working arts district.
Launch new voices. The residency removes the financial barriers that hold emerging and mid-career artists back.
Bring people together. A shared lounge, build spaces, and public showcases connect artists with the community.
