Turning Movement Into Hope

After being diagnosed with Young-Onset Parkinson's disease at age 47, Karen Frank chose to turn a personal challenge into a mission to help others living with Parkinson's.

In honor of her father, Bernard Norman Frank, and the generations of her family affected by the disease, Karen founded Pedal in Place at the Race™, a community event that raises awareness and support for Parkinson's programs and resources.

Since its launch, the event has raised more than $160,000 and engaged over 1,000 participants and supporters.
