Since Operation Metro Surge, families across Minnesota have faced deep disruption, fear, and economic shock.

During the height of the occupation, widespread fear kept many residents from going to work, school, or community spaces. Even as federal reports describe a drawdown of agents (which we have not confirmed on the ground), the long-term economic impacts remain very real: lost wages, depleted savings, strained household resources, and heightened rent debt continue to make housing stability an urgent community priority.

Bloomington Mutual Aid, a network of community volunteers, has been on the front lines of this response in Bloomington, MN. We have been mobilizing to support families navigating this ongoing instability through emergency rent support, supply distribution, transportation, and rapid response. BMA is working to keep families housed while our local safety nets are failing our most vulnerable neighbors.
