Founded in 2020, the mission of Jayda’s Heart Foundation is to provide emotional, and financial support to families of children who have been diagnosed with chronic illnesses or diasbilities.

The stress of a serious illness or chronic health condition can cause unimaginable stress for families, as parents become consumed with the care of their child at the expense of nearly everything else in their lives. Days are often filled with an endless stream of medical appointments, which can lead to excessive time off from work and a loss in income. Medical insurance coverage varies, but the cost of what is not covered can all too often deplete a family’s savings account, if they have any savings at all. Simply stated, no parent should have to choose between medical care for their child or putting food on the table.

Jayda’s Heart Foundation is in the unique position to address the issue of emotionally and financially supporting families of children with chronic illness and disabilites because its founder, Raven Callis, navigated the healthcare system while watching her first child succumb to a chronic illness. In the aftermath of this tragedy, she began to translate her grief into action by supporting others in the community who were also navigating the complexities of life with a chronically ill child. Ms. Callis has empathy not just for the pain parents are enduring, but for the strain that the financial obligations can place on families.

Our programs include:

Coins for Care
This program allows Jaydas Heart Foundation, Inc to provide financial aid to help cover medical treatment, equipment or medication cost for uninsured/underinsured families of children who have been diagnosed with a chronic illness and/or disability.

Traveling Grace
This program allows Jaydas Heart Foundation, Inc to provide financial assistance and vouchers for travel associated with medical treatment.

Nourished Hearts
This program allows Jaydas Heart Foundation, Inc to deliver nutritious meals or groceries to families of chronically ill children who are hospitalized or recently discharged.

Healing through Art
This program allows Jayda’s Heart Foundation, Inc to create and deliver personalized arts & crafts kits to families of chronically ill or disabled children in local hospitals and outpatient specialty clinics.

December 2 Remember
Toy Drive: Throughout the months of November and December, Jayda's Heart Foundation, Inc gathers new, unopened toys, in-kind contributions, and gift cards to provide happiness and support to families with chronically ill and disabled children. These donations are distributed directly to households and at various children's hospitals, bringing warmth and solace during the festive season.

Toy Giveaway: This occasion serves as a special day where families are warmly welcomed to join us for a day brimming with entertainment and enjoyment. We offer a diverse array of activities, including face painting, inflatable bounce houses, train rides, games, and delectable food. It's a day meticulously designed to create smiles and indelible memories for children and their loved ones.
