The Project of the Quad Cities (TPQC) will host its second annual Red Ribbon Ball on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at the Hotel Blackhawk in downtown Davenport, IA. This event serves as a celebration of the progress made while reflecting on the future of our fight against HIV/AIDS. Featuring live entertainment, a silent auction, and fund-a-need—the Red Ribbon Ball is critical to our ability to serve our community through affirming care and support.

About The Project

Founded in response to the AIDS epidemic, the organization has been on the front lines of the fight for equitable access to healthcare by providing support and services for people living with HIV for several decades. Today, TPQC has expanded those efforts by also providing:

Comprehensive sexual healthcare
Behavioral health
LGBTQ+ healthcare
Outreach & community-based services

What We Do

When it comes to the kind of care we provide, we know what’s most important is to meet people where they are and honor whatever path they want to take toward wellness.

We do this by working to reduce stigma in our local community, by offering free, confidential STD/HIV testing, and by providing access to PrEP and PEP to prevent HIV. But we also do this by expanding the conversation around sexual health, by talking about pleasure, and by connecting our people to supportive services whenever those conversations get complicated.

We know that wellness is about the whole person and that sexual health isn't something that stands on its own, so our services don't stand alone either.

Who We Serve

Since the early days of the HIV epidemic, our work has been rooted in responding to the needs of communities who have been adversely impacted by health inequity, particularly those from the LGBTQ+ community.

Today, we remain committed to that community, while also expanding our response to health inequity by prioritizing people who inject drugs and the Black and Latinx communities.

Through timely innovative service solutions that safeguard the health and well-being of our priority populations, we are continuing to work for a world where all people are provided the kind of care they deserve.
