💫 Celebrating 32 years of keeping San Francisco youth healthy, safe, and active.

For the past 32 years, Real Options for City Kids has provided programs and services that give children the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive. To celebrate, we're hosting R.O.C.K. Connect 32 on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at Matador in San Francisco. Get your tickets now to save your spot for this one-of-a-kind anniversary celebration.

✨ Check out our online auction! Bid on dining experiences, signed sports gear, adventure passes, and more starting on October 14, 2026. The auction will close at 8:00pm PST on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

If you can't join us in person but still want to make a difference in the lives of San Francisco youth and families, please consider making a donation to our 32nd Anniversary campaign by clicking the Get Tickets or Donate Now button above. On the next page, select I'd just like to donate and choose a donation amount that's meaningful to you. Every dollar contributed goes straight back into our programs, enabling us to provide academic support, sports & recreation, outdoor education & adventure, family engagement, and so more to 900+ youth (and their families!) each year. Will you help us reach our goal?

💚 About R.O.C.K.

Our programs focus on addressing the whole needs of the child through uplifting sports and fitness programs, outdoor adventures, and nurturing school-based support. We are the lead nonprofit partner of all public schools in our community, and we serve 900+ youth and their families each year.

Since 1994, R.O.C.K. has served the needs of children in the community by providing structured programs that foster personal development within a safe, loving and supportive environment. With the help of our programs, children who might not otherwise have a reasonable chance to succeed are granted a level playing field.

R.O.C.K. has been proactive in its approach to community support since inception. Through her experiences working with homeless adults, Michelle Groe, R.O.C.K. Founder, realized the problems in their lives often began during childhood. As a result, Groe focused her efforts on providing stable, nurturing and welcoming environments for Visitacion Valley’s at-risk youth, thereby laying the foundation for R.O.C.K.

While R.O.C.K. has grown significantly since that time, Michelle’s original goal has maintained its fundamental purpose.
