We are Ryan and Joanna Reynolds, founders of Rest and Healing Ministries. Our journey hasn't been perfect, but we've seen God's hand at work throughout. In 2020, just before the pandemic, Ryan confessed to a betrayal in our marriage, leading to two separations that year. Determined to honor God, we sought counseling and attended a marriage retreat. Although skeptical at first, God's guidance, wise counsel, and a peaceful environment led to our reconciliation.

Our personal transformation ignited a calling to create a sanctuary of healing for others. We discovered that true restoration happens when individuals and couples have a dedicated space to rest, reflect, and reconnect with God. This vision has led us to a pivotal moment: the opportunity to purchase an existing retreat center in Martinsville, IN.

The property we are pursuing is more than just a building—it's a ready-made ministry platform. The current owners are relocating, leaving behind a fully equipped retreat center that aligns perfectly with our mission of providing a peaceful environment for spiritual and relational healing. This 40+-acre property includes guest rooms, gathering spaces, 5 miles of outdoor walking paths, and accommodations that can immediately serve individuals, couples, and groups seeking restoration.

In fall 2022, during a retreat, we both independently created a 'Longing and Desires Map' that revealed identical visions for a healing ministry. Seeking confirmation, Joanna asked God for a sign—a butterfly in the fall, which seemed impossible. Yet, on our way to lunch, a monarch butterfly crossed our path, confirming our calling.

Our journey has been marked by God's remarkable provision. We received our 501(c)(3) approval in just 20 days, despite being told it would likely take 180 days. Now, we stand on the brink of transforming this Martinsville property into a beacon of hope and healing.

Legacy of Transformation

As we build this ministry, we want to create a lasting legacy of hope and healing. For our most significant supporters, we are establishing a special group of "Founding Donors." Donors who contribute $100,000 or more will have the privilege of naming one of our six guest bedrooms. These rooms will become sacred spaces of restoration, and each will carry the name given by a transformative Founding Donor who helped make this sanctuary possible. By becoming a Founding Donor and naming a room, these generous contributors will leave an enduring mark on the lives transformed within these walls—a testament to their commitment to healing and spiritual renewal.

Individual and Group Retreats: We provide peaceful, nurturing environments for spiritual reflection, personal growth, and relational renewal. Participants can disconnect from daily stresses and reconnect with God, gaining clarity and purpose.

Marital Health Programming: The 'Dynamic Marriage' program helps couples discover new perspectives about themselves and each other. Participants develop relationship skills that become naturally integrated into their daily lives, creating more fulfilling connections.

Sexual Purity/Porn Addiction Recovery: We offer a faith-based recovery approach using the 'Conquer' materials. This program combines spiritual concepts, practical strategies, and a supportive community to help individuals break free from addiction and restore their sense of purpose.
