When the mighty winds of Hurricane Beryl battered southern Jamaica in 2024, many families in the parish of St. Elizabeth thought the worst was over. Homes were damaged, crops were lost, and hopes were shaken — and yet they began to rebuild, with faith and resilience.

Now, in October 2025, the unimaginable has happened again. Hurricane Melissa made landfall as a Category 5 storm in Jamaica, striking directly along the border of St. Elizabeth and Westmoreland — the very communities still recovering from Beryl. The devastation is urgent. Homes destroyed, roofs ripped away, families left with nothing once more.

The Need

Entire neighborhoods were flattened, and some towns have been described as “underwater.”
Basic infrastructure — electricity, water, roads — has been knocked out, cutting off access to help in remote communities.
Families are facing the overwhelming task of repairing or rebuilding homes again, while still carrying the trauma of the last storm.
Because this is a faith-based mission, we also know the spiritual suffering: children uprooted from classrooms, parents without safe shelter, communities losing hope.

Structural rebuilding — providing materials and labor to repair roofs or reconstruct homes with stronger, more resilient design.
Spiritual & emotional care — faith-based outreach, children’s ministry, and trauma-healing support for families who’ve faced back-to-back disasters.
Transparent stewardship — 100 % of designated contributions for this campaign go directly to the recovery for these communities; regular updates will be shared so you see lives changed by your generosity.

$25 provides hygiene kits or emergency food supplies for one family for 2 weeks.
$100 supplies building materials (tarps, plywood, nails) to secure a family’s home temporarily.
$500 supports rebuilding the roof of a single home, giving a family safe shelter again.
$1,000+ helps rebuild multiple rooms, enabling a family to return home rather than staying in temporary shelters.
