Music Orchard Richmond (MOR) exists nurture a love for music in K-12 youth by providing exceptional and accessible music education through community support and advocacy. In 2023, following a change in leadership, MOR launched new re-aligned programs following conversations with over 30 community leaders, teachers, parents, students, music educators. These new programs, now just two years old have reached nearly 150 students - gifting them the opportunity to experience music education at the highest level, barrier-free. From free lessons and group classes, to in school residencies supporting and supplementing school music programs, MOR is committed to providing music education at low to no cost to every student in Richmond with an interest - and to doing so in collaboration with existing programs and the school districts.
