Join us for a celebration and fundraiser as we proudly accomplish 8 years of serving our communities in Arizona, but we are also so excited to share that WE ARE MOVING! Our new home will grant us the space to care for more patients and deliver more meaningful programming to our communities.

As we prepare for this new chapter, we need your support in raising funds for our transition. Our health justice clinic has been operating for 11 years with the same equipment, and our dream is to enter our new space with new equipment and tools. Help us accomplish our dreams!

Desert Star Institute for Family Planning is a Black Woman founded and led 501c3 organization working to advance Reproductive Justice in Arizona and beyond.

Our work is rooted in 4 main priorities:

1. Train the next generation of abortion providers within the Reproductive Justice framework that focuses on the whole person, providing a unique understanding of the barriers historically marginalized people may encounter in medical communities where they've felt excluded.

2. Deliver educational content and programs that help people from historically marginalized communities access reproductive health care and exercise autonomy over their bodies and lives.

3. Engage, build relationships, and mobilize local policy makers, advocates, and community members directly impacted by harmful policies towards and Arizona that provides the conditions for people to freely decide when and how to form families and raise children.

4. Clinic and community space provide a safe and inclusive space to serve patients and engage our community in reproductive justice advocacy and programming.

We envision a world where access to the full range of just, dignified, and exceptional reproductive health care is available to people who can become pregnant regardless of circumstance or zip code, and is provided by compassionate health care professionals who also advocate for reproductive health and justice in their communities.
