Art is the laughter of children discovering creativity at Artist in the Park, the soulful rhythms of Levitt AMP Springfield, and the shared joy of hundreds gathering on New Year’s Eve for First Night Springfield. These moments don’t just happen. They are built by the Springfield Area Arts Council, with the belief that art belongs to everyone.

For 50 years, the Arts Council has been a spark for creativity and connection in our community. We work with local schools to bring professional artists into classrooms, creating opportunities for young minds to explore their talents. We collaborate with local businesses, organizations, and individuals to showcase the arts in every corner of our city. From hosting vibrant cultural events to providing project grants for organizations, artists, and schools, we work every day to ensure that art isn’t a luxury, but a part of daily life in Sangamon and Menard counties.

But these programs can only continue with your support.

When you give to the Springfield Area Arts Council, you’re giving a child their first paintbrush, a musician their first stage, a family their first shared memory of live performance. Your gift makes it possible for us to invest back into our community, supporting local artists, schools, and organizations who bring the Springfield area to life.

Imagine a Springfield without music in the park, without free arts programming for children, without that spark of creativity that connects us all. Together, we can make sure that never happens.

Will you join us in keeping art alive and accessible for everyone?
