About A Seat at the Table

Join us for A Seat at the Table, a benefit brunch supporting My Dog Is My Home’s work to keep people and their companion animals together through times of housing instability and homelessness. Together, we’ll raise critical funds to advance pet-inclusive housing and create a world where no one must choose between a safe place to sleep and the companion animal they love.

Can't make it to NYC? You can still take part in our silent auction online, open to bidders anywhere, October 7–25. Donations to the event are also warmly welcomed!

A Seat at the Table: General Admission

Set in a light-filled Chinatown loft, this moving and celebratory afternoon will bring together the people, stories, and perspectives at the heart of the movement for pet-inclusive emergency and affordable housing.

Attendees will enjoy a delicious vegan brunch, mimosa and rosé bar, silent auction, special guests, awards, and powerful personal stories from people who have experienced homelessness with their pets.

At My Dog Is My Home, we believe that to develop beneficial systems, it’s critical that everyone has a seat at the table. That means bringing together people with lived experience of homelessness, housing providers, animal shelters, homeless services professionals, policymakers, and advocates.

This benefit is an opportunity to honor all of those voices, and come together as a community to make pet-inclusive housing possible for more people.

Every ticket, auction bid, and gift supports My Dog Is My Home’s work to advance pet-inclusive housing and create a world where people experiencing homelessness never have to separate from their beloved pets in order to secure housing.

VIP Experience: Mutts & Mimosas

Come early for Mutts & Mimosas, a special VIP hour before the brunch.

VIP guests will enjoy mimosas and an intimate pre-event gathering with some very special four-legged guests: adorable, adoptable dogs from Animal Care Centers (ACC) NYC.

Meet the pups, speak with My Dog Is My Home Founder & Executive Director Christine Kim, mingle with fellow supporters, and raise a glass to keeping people and their pets together before the doors open to everyone.

Mutts & Mimosas takes place from 10:30AM - 11:30AM, immediately before the brunch, at the same Chinatown loft.
