San Juan Children’s Education Foundation (“SJCEF”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the students and teachers of San Juan Elementary School by providing opportunities that help every child realize their full potential, both inside and outside the classroom.

San Juan Elementary is a Title I school and home to a Spanish dual language immersion program rooted in biliteracy, bilingualism, and multiculturalism. Our students continue this educational journey through high school, where they have the opportunity to earn the Seal of Biliteracy.

Founded in 2008, SJCEF was created to help bridge the gap between public funding and the resources needed to provide a well-rounded, enriching educational experience. Over the years, SJCEF has funded critical programs and opportunities that directly benefit students and teachers, including a K–3 music program, school librarian, online math program, outdoor science school, the school musical, and teacher grants for resources such as musical instruments, robotics, and a 3D printer.

As public funding continues to fall short of fully meeting classroom and enrichment needs, SJCEF plays a vital role in helping preserve the programs and opportunities that make San Juan Elementary so special. These are not “extras” — they are the experiences, tools, and support systems that help students build confidence, discover their talents, and thrive academically, creatively, and socially.

SJCEF is fully volunteer-run, which means every dollar raised goes directly toward supporting the students and teachers of San Juan Elementary School. Your support helps ensure that our school community has access to the resources, programs, and experiences that inspire learning and open doors for every child.
