The Artivist Awards, sponsored by Trinity City Arts, is a truly one-of-a-kind community event: fundraiser, celebration, and graduation, all in one. Trinity City Arts builds our community in three ways: (1) we publish TRINITY CITY COMICS, a graphic novel about the future of New Orleans that inspires youth to become artist-activists; (2) through our YOUNG ARTIVIST CLUBS, we partner with schools and organizations to support youth ages 12-24 in creating public art in all media that speaks their truths to power; and (3) we train youth to become professional artists, educators, and activists through our INTERNSHIP program. The annual Artivist Awards is the culminating night for all three.
