A home is more than four walls and a roof. It’s where we feel safe. Where we belong. Where ordinary moments become a life.

That idea is at the heart of Homes with Heart.

Local artists have transformed nearly 40 birdhouses into one-of-a-kind works of art, each with its own personality, creativity and story. Together, they represent something much bigger: the importance of having a place to call home.

For 70 years, Special Needs Cobb has been here for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Today, our 23 group homes provide long-term housing for up to 92 adults throughout our community. These aren’t simply houses—they are places where residents build routines, friendships, independence and memories.

Beginning October 13, every birdhouse will be available through our online Homes with Heart auction. Browse the collection, find your favorite and place your bid from anywhere. Every bid helps support the care, maintenance and ongoing needs of Special Needs Cobb’s group homes.

Then, see the entire collection come together at our Homes with Heart Exhibition on Tuesday, October 27, from 6–9 PM at StillFire Brewing in Smyrna. Join us for an evening of art, community and a chance to see these incredible creations in person as the auction comes to a close.
