At Inclusive Compass, we believe community spaces should be truly open to everyone—including people with disabilities and sensory needs. Too often, families are forced to leave events early or skip them entirely because the environment is overwhelming or lacks the right supports. That’s where our work comes in.

Through our Sensory Regulation Stations, we create calming, accessible spaces at community events so people can regulate, reset, and stay. These spaces include sensory tools, communication supports, calming areas, and thoughtful accommodations that allow individuals and families to fully participate in community life. Last year alone, Inclusive Compass provided Sensory Regulation Stations across Sonoma County and served over 3,000 people at fairs, parades, farmers’ markets, Pride celebrations, Special Olympics events, and more.

The need for this work keeps growing—and yes, it takes real funding to keep it going. More events are reaching out, more families are relying on these supports, and expanding means increasing our equipment, doubling our inventory so we can serve multiple events at once, and continuing to show up where inclusion is needed most.

We are also building toward the future return of our signature Inclusion Festival in 2027. After 8 years of growth, we are taking a strategic pause in 2026 so we can come back stronger—with a professional, fully accessible venue, expanded offerings, and a more sustainable foundation. That future requires both people power and financial support.

That is why our Spring Into Auction matters so much. This online auction is one of our most important fundraisers of the year. Every bid, every donation, and every share directly supports Sensory Regulation Stations, future Inclusion Festivals, and Inclusive Compass initiatives that create more accessible, welcoming communities.

Physical items can be picked up at our Inclusion Fest Forward: Volunteer Appreciation & Recruitment Event on May 9 from 1–3 PM at the Petaluma Community Center.
