Summer Stock Austin gives talented high school and college students the opportunity to train, create, and perform alongside professional artists—regardless of their ability to pay.

The true cost of this experience is approximately $2,500 per student, but every student participates tuition-free. Your donation helps remove financial barriers and ensures that access to transformative arts education is based on talent, dedication, and potential—not a family’s financial circumstances.

This summer, nearly 90 young artists are working together to bring Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella and Disney’s Newsies to the stage. Your support provides the professional mentorship, facilities, materials, equipment, and production resources needed to make this experience possible.

MORE THAN A SUMMER MUSICAL

Summer Stock Austin is an intensive, professional-level training program for high school and college students pursuing performance, technical theatre, production, arts administration, and other creative careers.

High school students receive hands-on training, mentorship, and performance or production experience at no cost. College students serve as apprentices and mentors, gaining early professional experience and receiving stipends based on their responsibilities, experience, and leadership.

Students collaborate with professional directors, choreographers, designers, musicians, technicians, educators, and administrators to produce fully realized theatrical productions for paying audiences.

In a field filled with expensive pay-to-participate programs, Summer Stock Austin offers a different model: one in which talented young artists are given meaningful opportunities without being asked to purchase access.
