Would you like to own a piece of skiing history? Now is your chance! Ski Sundown will be replacing their iconic Exhibition Triple Lift, aka Lift 1, and will be debuting the first Skytrac Quad Lift with conveyor in CT! This new lift will be installed over the summer and fall in anticipation of the 2024-2025 season. So what will happen to the retired ski lift chairs from Exhibition Triple? These vintage chairs are being made available to you, our loyal customers, through this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Retiring Chairs, Raising Funds is an online auction of 50 chairs from the original Exhibition Triple installed in 1977. The auction will go live on May 10th at 7:00am EST, so mark your calendars and be among the first to own a piece of Ski Sundown history while benefiting two great non-profits! It will only be live for 2 weeks, so act fast! Bidding closes on May 24th at 9:00pm EST. Net proceeds will benefit our two non-profit partners; Summit Adaptive Sports, Inc. and Sundown Ski Patrol, Inc. (both 501c3 designated charities).

Auction Rules - Read before you bid!

Make sure that you are available on Pick-Up Day (June 1st, 8am-2pm) to receive your chair. Chairs will be forfeited if not picked up on the designated day.
Have appropriate transportation available for pick-up. See chair specifications below to be sure you can transport. Grab a friend to help you!
Register before you bid. Registration requires your name, address, phone number and a valid credit card for payment. Credit card details are retained by the auction host until the end of the auction. Winning bidders will be notified that they have won and their card will then be automatically processed at that time. If you select a "Buy It Now" option, you can purchase the specified item immediately at the designated price. Your credit card will be immediately charged.
Auction bids are FINAL and refunds will not be provided for any reason.

History:
Exhibition Triple was the first three-person, fixed-grip chairlift in use in CT. It was manufactured by Borvig in Pine Island, NY and installed in 1977 at Ski Sundown in New Hartford, CT. Some of you may remember that these chairs were originally bright yellow. Later they were galvanized to the current silver color. Exhibition Triple was in use for 47 years. It's tallest tower reached 51 feet!
